The Isle of Islay, known as
"The Queen of the Hebrides", is the southernmost island of the Inner
Hebrides off the Western Scottish Coast, and around 25 miles north of the
Irish coast. Islay has just over three thousand inhabitants spread out
over a total area of 600 square kilometres.
Islay's main industries are
Malt Whisky distilling and tourism. Our stunning coastline is peppered
with hidden coves, fine sandy beaches and flora rich nature walks. The
Bridgend Hotel is situated in the centre of the Island, making it the ideal base
for exploring this rich and passionate Isle.
