There
are numerous fresh water lochs on the Islay Estates in which brown trout
can be caught. Best months are: May, June and July. The main Lochs are
Gorm, Skerrols, and Finlaggan. A bank permit covers all lochs, except
Loch Gorm. The boat hire charge includes your fishing permit. There are
boats on Lochs Gorm, Skerrols, Cam, Finlaggan and Ardnahoe. The Fishing
season is between 15th March to 30th Sept.

Islay Estates company are
introducing the new Rough shooting packages for six people shooting for
two days, 4 shooting and 2 hind stalking each day (2 hinds per day).
Accommodation is on full board basis here at the hotel and this
may be extended to enable the party to stay on and experience a tour of
one of our eight Distilleries, play a round of golf on the islands links
course or perhaps have an extra days stalking (subject to availability).
The package includes three
nights accommodation at the Bridgend Hotel, full board, packed lunches
for two days shooting. You will mainly be shooting pheasants,
partridges, snipe and woodcock, some driven and some walked up. The
terrain is reasonably hard going but not extreme. Transport can be
arranged from-to the airport or from-to the ferry terminal. For full
