Caledonian MacBrayne operate the ferry service to Islay. The crossing lasts around two hours and runs daily throughout the year. Ferries arrive in Port Askaig or Port Ellen depending on the timetable and weather conditions. It is strongly advisable to book the ferry in advance.

FlyBe operates a 35 minute scheduled service, daily from Glasgow Airport to Islay. This service is operated by Loganair.
